45 KW - CHICO, CA

The photo above shows some of the large solar modules mounted on a commercial building, and some mounted on a carport off to the left.

This installation uses 176 large 300 watt solar modules (see below) for a DC nameplate rating of 52.8 KW, giving an AC rating of 45.5 KW. The panels are mounted to Unirac aluminum rails, that are in turn mounted to the building purlins that underly the metal roof.

The complete system is engineered to handle 75 mph winds.

The power from the solar array combiners on the rooftops feeds into the fuse box at the right side of the drawing.
